Today, the world is heavily weighed down by emerging health complications which are exacerbated by the emergency of Multi Drug Resistant (MDR) microorganisms. This is happening despite the search for new and better drugs against various diseases. Perhaps the rate of drug research is being overcome by the speed of disease prevalence. Plants have been explored for alternative drug sources against diseases and research is still on-going. On the other hand, another less thought-of source is emerging in research, animal secretions, which include frogs and lizards. This paper presents some of the secretions from frogs and lizards that have shown potential for the development of drugs against various diseases. If this area is well studied with generous investment, diseases will be well managed and controlled.en_US
