The paper attempts to analyze the current conflicts in the Great Lakes Region and the subsequent displacement from the early 1960s to date. The paper traces the evolution of armed conflicts and forced migration in the Great Lakes Region, identifying Tanzania as the only exception of armed conflict although it is host to many refugees from the region. The paper concludes by proposing some recommendations.en_US
